At its clubhouse at Am Wasser No. 2, Heimatverein Geltow local association took on the task of researching, documenting and presenting the 1,000 year history of the district of Geltow for interested citizens and visitors. A permanent exhibition shows the life and work of important Geltow personalities, for example Baron Karl Harwig Gregor von Meusebach, Theodor Fontane and Förstemann. Alternating exhibitions, for example on the old craft of artistic casting or Klaus Franke’s mineral collection, add to the information provided and lovingly presented using photographs, pictures, books and everyday objects. Dedicated association members provide information on the history of the location on hikes and round tours.
